The policy only helps if your family can find it
Many families hold LIC policies bought over decades, plus a term plan or two, with the bonds in a cupboard and the details in one person's head. When a claim is needed, the family has to find every policy first.
What you have, and where it lives
Usually one copy, in one place. That's the part we fix.
| What | Where it usually is |
|---|---|
| Policy bonds and schedules | A steel cupboard or a bank locker |
| Premium receipts and payment history | Paper receipts, email and the insurer's app |
| Nominee and assignment details | The proposal form copy, if anyone kept it |
| Maturity and survival benefit dates | Nowhere written down |
| Your agent's name and number | One person's phone |
How it usually gets lost
- The family doesn't know a policy exists, so it's never claimed and the money sits unclaimed with the insurer.
- The original bond is damaged by damp or lost in a house move, and the claim takes longer while a replacement is arranged.
- The nominee was never updated after a marriage or a death in the family.
- The agent who sold the policy has retired, and nobody else has the details.
What we back up
You choose what goes up. Copy one stays on your phone or laptop; copies two and three go to two storage providers you choose, one of them on another continent (Mumbai or Hyderabad if your data must stay in India).
Every policy, scanned
Bonds, schedules and endorsements from LIC and other insurers, encrypted and backed up from your phone.
The policy list
Insurer, policy number, sum assured, nominee, premium due date and maturity date, kept with the scans.
Premium receipts
So you can show what was paid, for the policy and for tax deductions.
Passed on when it matters
Put the policies in your inheritance vault so your heirs receive them. See passing on to heirs.
Good habits, with or without us
- Write a one-page list of every policy and keep it with the scans. Include policies that have matured or lapsed, so nothing is assumed.
- Check nominees on every policy after a marriage, a birth or a death in the family.
- Insurers let you search for unclaimed amounts on their websites. Worth checking for older relatives' policies.
- A scan helps your family find and claim a policy; keep the original bond safe too, as insurers may ask for it.
- Print the recovery kit you get at setup and keep it with your other important papers. Your files are encrypted on your phone before upload and we can't reset your passphrase, so the kit is how you get back in.
How it works
- 1
Pick what matters
When the app launches, install it on your iPhone or Android phone and choose: photos, the folders you want, contacts, your mailbox. Nothing else leaves your phone.
- 2
It runs on its own
New photos and files are encrypted and copied in the background; email every few hours. Nobody has to remember.
- 3
Get it back
New phone, deleted file or lost laptop: restore everything, or bring back one document from version history.
What it costs
Prepaid, minimum ₹200 a month
You pay for the storage you use at the rates of the two providers you choose, with a ₹200 monthly minimum. Top up by UPI, card or net banking. No auto-debit, no card on file. Prices exclude 18% GST. How pricing works.
