Make sure your family can find what you've planned
Making a will and filling nominations is half the job. The other half is making sure your family can find them, and knows which accounts and policies exist.
What you have, and where it lives
Usually one copy, in one place. That's the part we fix.
| What | Where it usually is |
|---|---|
| Will, and any codicils | With a lawyer, or in a cupboard at home |
| Nominations for bank accounts, FDs, PF, insurance, demat and mutual funds | Each institution's records, and nowhere in one place |
| A list of accounts, policies and investments | Usually only in one person's head |
| Locker details and key | A drawer |
| Contact details of your lawyer, CA and agents | Your phone |
How it usually gets lost
- Nobody in the family knows a will exists, or where the original is.
- Accounts and policies are found years later, if at all, because nobody had a list.
- Nominations were filled long ago and name someone who has since passed away.
- The papers that explain everything are on one person's phone, and that phone is locked.
What we back up
You choose what goes up. Copy one stays on your phone or laptop; copies two and three go to two storage providers you choose, one of them on another continent (Mumbai or Hyderabad if your data must stay in India).
Passed on to your heirs
Put the will scan and the list in your inheritance vault, and choose who receives it and when.
A scan of the will
In the shared family vault, with a note of where the signed original is kept.
The list
One document with every account, policy, investment and locker, and the nominee for each.
Family vault
Everyone you add can open what's in the vault.
Version history
Update the list as things change; older versions are kept.
Good habits, with or without us
- A scan is not a substitute for the signed original. Tell your executor or family where the original is.
- Check nominations on your accounts and policies once every few years, and after big life events.
- Keep the printed recovery kit with a note of where the will and the list are, somewhere your family knows about.
- This is general information, not legal advice. A lawyer can help you with the will itself.
How it works
- 1
Pick what matters
When the app launches, install it on your iPhone or Android phone and choose: photos, the folders you want, contacts, your mailbox. Nothing else leaves your phone.
- 2
It runs on its own
New photos and files are encrypted and copied in the background; email every few hours. Nobody has to remember.
- 3
Get it back
New phone, deleted file or lost laptop: restore everything, or bring back one document from version history.
What it costs
Prepaid, minimum ₹200 a month
You pay for the storage you use at the rates of the two providers you choose, with a ₹200 monthly minimum. Top up by UPI, card or net banking. No auto-debit, no card on file. Prices exclude 18% GST. How pricing works.
