Years of photographs, not just on one external drive

Hobby photographers fill memory cards on weekends and trips, copy them to a laptop and an external drive, and hope. The drive is often the only copy of the RAW files.

What you have, and where it lives

Usually one copy, in one place. That's the part we fix.

WhatWhere it usually is
RAW files from the cameraMemory cards, then a laptop and one external drive
Edited photos and cataloguesThe laptop
Phone photos and videosThe phone
Prints and albums you madeThe shelf, and the files on the laptop

How it usually gets lost

  • The external drive falls off the table, or simply stops being recognised one day.
  • A memory card is formatted for the next trip before the photos were copied anywhere else.
  • The laptop and the drive are in the same bag when the bag is stolen.
  • A catalogue is saved over and the edits from a whole trip are gone.

What we back up

You choose what goes up. Copy one stays on your phone or laptop; copies two and three go to two storage providers you choose, one of them on another continent (Mumbai or Hyderabad if your data must stay in India).

Photo folders

Your RAW and edited folders on a Windows or Linux computer, with older versions kept.

Phone shots

Photos and videos from your phone in the background, at original quality.

Two other places

Copies with two storage providers you choose, one on another continent.

Restores

Download one folder or one trip when you need it, without restoring everything.

Good habits, with or without us

  • Copy cards to the computer before you format them, and let the backup run before the next trip.
  • An external drive is a good copy one or two. It isn't a backup when it's the only other copy.
  • Large photo libraries use more storage. You pay for what you store at your providers' rates, so it's worth deleting obvious rejects.
  • Desktop backup runs on Windows and Linux. Mac isn't supported yet.

How it works

  1. 1

    Pick what matters

When the app launches, install it on your iPhone or Android phone and choose: photos, the folders you want, contacts, your mailbox. Nothing else leaves your phone.

  2. 2

    It runs on its own

New photos and files are encrypted and copied in the background; email every few hours. Nobody has to remember.

  3. 3

    Get it back

New phone, deleted file or lost laptop: restore everything, or bring back one document from version history.

What it costs

Prepaid, minimum ₹200 a month

You pay for the storage you use at the rates of the two providers you choose, with a ₹200 monthly minimum. Top up by UPI, card or net banking. No auto-debit, no card on file. Prices exclude 18% GST. How pricing works.
