Personal · Who you are · Freelancers and creators
Your work is your income. Don't keep it on one laptop
A freelancer's laptop is the office, the archive and the portfolio. Creators add phones full of raw footage. If that machine dies, so does the client deadline.
What you have, and where it lives
Usually one copy, in one place. That's the part we fix.
| What | Where it usually is |
|---|---|
| Client projects and source files | The laptop, plus an external drive if you're careful |
| Raw photos and video footage | Phone, camera cards and a drive |
| Invoices, contracts and GST or tax papers | Downloads folder and email |
| Portfolio and showreel | The laptop and a hosting site you don't control |
| Client briefs and approvals | Email and chat |
How it usually gets lost
- The laptop dies two days before a client delivery. The external drive was last updated three weeks ago.
- A client asks for the source files of a project from last year, and you can't find which drive they're on.
- A platform account is suspended and the portfolio and messages on it are no longer yours to download.
- Tea on the keyboard, a bag snatched at a café, or a laptop left in a cab.
What we back up
You choose what goes up. Copy one stays on your phone or laptop; copies two and three go to two storage providers you choose, one of them on another continent (Mumbai or Hyderabad if your data must stay in India).
Work folders
Project folders on Windows or Linux, every night, with older versions kept so you can go back to what the client approved.
Phone footage
Photos and videos from your phone in the background, at original quality.
Invoices and contracts
A folder for invoices, contracts and tax papers, kept by year.
Work email
Your mailbox copied every few hours, so briefs and approvals have a second home.
Good habits, with or without us
- Keep finished client work and raw files in clearly named folders by year and client. It makes backups and restores simpler.
- Keep your portfolio files on your own computer as well as on any platform.
- Desktop backup runs on Windows and Linux. Mac isn't supported yet.
- Print the recovery kit you get at setup and keep it with your other important papers. Your files are encrypted on your phone before upload and we can't reset your passphrase, so the kit is how you get back in.
How it works
- 1
Pick what matters
When the app launches, install it on your iPhone or Android phone and choose: photos, the folders you want, contacts, your mailbox. Nothing else leaves your phone.
- 2
It runs on its own
New photos and files are encrypted and copied in the background; email every few hours. Nobody has to remember.
- 3
Get it back
New phone, deleted file or lost laptop: restore everything, or bring back one document from version history.
What it costs
Prepaid, minimum ₹200 a month
You pay for the storage you use at the rates of the two providers you choose, with a ₹200 monthly minimum. Top up by UPI, card or net banking. No auto-debit, no card on file. Prices exclude 18% GST. How pricing works.
