Statements, FDs and loan papers, ready when the bank asks
Banks merge, branches move and online access only goes back so far. Loan closure letters and NOCs in particular are papers you'll need years after the loan is gone.
What you have, and where it lives
Usually one copy, in one place. That's the part we fix.
| What | Where it usually is |
|---|---|
| Bank statements and passbooks | Net banking, which only goes back so far |
| Fixed deposit receipts and advices | A cupboard and email |
| Home, car and education loan agreements and sanction letters | A thick file from the bank |
| Loan closure letters and NOCs | Email, once |
| Demat, mutual fund and PPF statements | Email and apps |
| Locker agreement and key details | A drawer |
How it usually gets lost
- A car is sold years after the loan was paid off, and the bank's NOC can't be found.
- The bank has merged into another and older statements are hard to get.
- An FD receipt kept by a grandparent is found, but nobody knows if it was renewed.
- Statement emails went to an old address that's since been closed.
What we back up
You choose what goes up. Copy one stays on your phone or laptop; copies two and three go to two storage providers you choose, one of them on another continent (Mumbai or Hyderabad if your data must stay in India).
Papers folder
Scan loan agreements, closure letters, NOCs and FD receipts into a folder on your phone.
Statements
Download yearly statements as PDFs into the same folder.
Back up the mailbox where banks send statements and letters.
SMS
Transaction alerts as a record of what happened when: full history on Android, new incoming messages on iPhone.
Good habits, with or without us
- When a loan closes, collect the NOC and closure letter, check them, and scan them the same day.
- Keep a list of accounts, FDs and lockers with the nominee for each, in the family vault.
- Download a statement for each account once a year.
- Print the recovery kit you get at setup and keep it with your other important papers. Your files are encrypted on your phone before upload and we can't reset your passphrase, so the kit is how you get back in.
How it works
- 1
Pick what matters
When the app launches, install it on your iPhone or Android phone and choose: photos, the folders you want, contacts, your mailbox. Nothing else leaves your phone.
- 2
It runs on its own
New photos and files are encrypted and copied in the background; email every few hours. Nobody has to remember.
- 3
Get it back
New phone, deleted file or lost laptop: restore everything, or bring back one document from version history.
What it costs
Prepaid, minimum ₹200 a month
You pay for the storage you use at the rates of the two providers you choose, with a ₹200 monthly minimum. Top up by UPI, card or net banking. No auto-debit, no card on file. Prices exclude 18% GST. How pricing works.
